    Il paper illustra alcune metodologie per produrre visualizzazioni GIS a supporto delle politiche di valorizzazione paesaggistica, dei beni culturali e dei connessi processi decisionali. Si tratta di viste 3D navigabili, analisi di visibilità e analisi per il riconoscimento delle unità sceniche di paesaggio: sono state elaborate a partire da dati open avvalendosi di un software GIS open, in una sperimentazione didattica universitaria presso il Politecnico di Torino.The paper presents some methods to produce GIS views to support policies for enhancing landscape and cultural heritage, and their related decision-making processes. They are navigable 3D views, visibility analyses, and analyses for the recognition of scenic units: they were developed using open data and open GIS software in a university course at the Politecnico di Torino

    Plan4all: European Network of Best Practices for Interoperability of Spatial Planning Information

    Methodologies usually adopted in urban and regional planning do not assume an approach based on Spatial Data Infrastructures principles, which could ensure a better use of geospatial data and support interoperability of planning choices providing an active participation of stakeholders involved in planning processes. An innovative approach of e-government based on a better organization and management of geospatial data, could contribute, through a deeper territorial knowledge and a more appropriate use of decision support tools, to more effectively pursue planning goals. Spatial planning and related information have a strategic importance not only at local and national level but also at international scale where a "continuum" of settlements characterizes the crossing of various countries. Planning activity is also strictly related to aspects such as management of natural resources, prevention of natural disasters, transports which in many cases have international cross-border interests. Consequently, today there is an absolute need of harmonized planning data a strong demand of planning core data sets in order to provide an easy and wide understandability of this information. The objective of the Plan4all project is to build a network of local, regional and national stakeholders, companies in the ICT sector, organizations involved in planning and economic development, universities and international agencies in order to find a consensus concerning the harmonization of spatial planning data based on existing best practices in Europe and according to the European Directive INSPIRE. The project takes into account lessons learned from previous experiences, such as Armonia, Humboldt, eSDINet+, Euradin, whose partners are also present in the Plan4all consortium. The project will involve also the experience of OGC working group members concerning the definition of standards technologies. Plan4all aims to contribute to the harmonization of planning data. Based on best practi- - ces analysis, the project is producing a series of technical documents for metadata profiles design and implementation, data models and harmonization procedures. Particular attention will be paid to issues related to the protection of intellectual property rights, as well as security aspects

Il metodo nasce dall’integrazione dei Geographic Information Systems (GIS) e le tecniche Multicriteria Decision Analysis (MCDA), la cui combinazione determina l’introduzione dell’esplicita considerazione della dimensione spaziale dei problemi decisionali.     Factores determinantes en la percepción de los egresados en Ciencias Económicas en relación a su Consejo Profesional aplicando un modelo de ecuaciones estructurales

    Esta investigación plantea una aproximación exploratoria a la vez que innovadora, construyendo un modelo integrado de relaciones para explicar la percepción de los egresados en Ciencias Económicas de la Provincia de Córdoba con relación a su Consejo Profesional (CPCE). Los Consejos Profesionales, como entidades de derecho público que nuclean a los egresados, reglamentan y ordenan el ejercicio de las profesiones, necesitan identificar los factores que determinan la decisión de los profesionales de incorporarse o permanecer en la organización. En efecto, la consolidación de relaciones estables entre cualquier tipo de organización y sus principales clientes se ha convertido en una herramienta imprescindible para garantizar la supervivencia de dichas organizaciones. En este sentido, interesa analizar la Imagen de CPCE de Córdoba, entendida como la manera en que el profesional percibe a la organización, de acuerdo a sus experiencias y la Valoración de la Matrícula, exigida para el ejercicio de la profesión.La muestra estuvo formada por 533 egresados de universidades públicas y privadas de la Provincia de Córdoba, en carreras vinculadas a las Ciencias Económicas. Del total de profesionales encuestados, el 50,2% se encontraba matriculado en el CPCE y el resto no, aunque de éste segundo grupo un 23% estaba considerando matricularse. Se aplicaron modelos de ecuaciones estructurales (structural equations models SEM), con dos variables latentes o constructos: Imagen del CPCE y Valoración de la Matricula. Luego de varias corridas de los modelos se estimó, por Máxima Verosimilitud, un ajuste con siete indicadores significativos para cada constructo. En el caso de la variable latente Valoración de la Matricula aparece como factor determinante que tiene un fin recaudatorio. En la Imagen, por su parte, influyen significativamente la mejora en las condiciones de la profesión y el hecho de que la pone en valor frente a la sociedad, entre otras. Se identificó, además, una correlación estadísticamente significativa entre las dos variables latentes, como así también correlaciones entre algunas indicadoras, que se incluyeron en el modelo a fin de mejorar el ajuste. Los indicadores de bondad de ajuste RMSEA, SRMR y CFI resultaron adecuados.Finalmente, se realizaron ajustes por sexo, concluyendo que no hay diferencias significativas, estadísticamente, entre hombres y mujeres en el sentido de la Imagen y Valoración para los indicadores considerados.Fil: Gonzalez, Mariana Verónica.     Methodology to describe, analyse and assess sub-national SDIs: survey, experiences and lessons learnt

    Over the last ten years development of Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDIs) has become an important subject being a driving force towards the vision of Digital Earth increasing the availibility and accessibility of geographic information exchange and sharing of spatial data. Worldwide, large investments have been made to develop SDI initiatives. Given the expenditure and society’s interest in the proper and effective use of these funds, it has become a necessity to have reliable methods and instruments to assess these SDI initiatives. However, the assessment and evaluation of SDIs is an extremly challenging task due to a number of reasons. Although the literature provides a number of assessment methods, all of them either concentrate on only some aspects of an SDI or on one specific region, or are still conceptual in nature (Crompvoets et al., 2009). In this paper, the authors introduce a new pragmatic appoach to identify, analyse and assess SDI solutions having the principles of Digital Earth, INSPIRE and GMES in mind. This approach has been developed by the Thematic Network eSDI-Net+ and has been validated in a comprehensive survey involving about 200 SDIs from 26 European countries as well as different stakeholders involved in the creation and use of SDIs throughout Europe. The main purpose of the paper is to introduce this unique SDI assessment methodology as well as to demonstrate the possiblities of its practical application. Furthermore, the paper critically reflects the experiences made and lessons learnt by applying this methodology in a survey of the subnational SDIs in Europe in 2008-2010 and discusses the main implications for future SDI research, in Europe and worldwide

    Nell’ambito dell'International Open data day Italia 2014 il DIST ha organizzato un hackathon dedicato alle tematiche di ricerca, esplorazione e utilizzazione di dati geospaziali open, da elaborare con strumenti GIS per produrre analisi e rispondere a domande di conoscenza relative ai temi di città, territorio, ambiente e paesaggio. La giornata si inserisce nell’ambito dell’attivo dibattito culturale relativo agli open data e agli open dati geografici in particolare, tema molto sentito in questo periodo dalla comunità scientifica
